Cancer + Wellness series: Episode 4 – Meet Michele Fife
Ayurvedic yoga therapist and nutritionist Michele Fife is an instructor with the Mary Free Bed Cancer + Wellness Program. She was drawn to the innovative program because of her passion for positively impacting people’s lives.
“I’m very much a fixer person, a helper person,” Michele says. “I love to help people. I like to be of use. I like to leave things better than how I found them, regardless of what that is.”
“For me to be able to get together with a group of people and they’re not feeling well and when they leave, or the next time I see them they say ‘Oh I feel so great, I can tell.’ Those are the kinds of things that make it priceless. That’s the reason that you do this.”
Michele believes new healthy habits can make a difference for people of all ages: “It’s never too late to change your life.”
Cancer + Wellness is an innovative pilot program fusing gentle exercise with nutritional education. It’s funded through Mary Free Bed and a grant from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
Meet Michele in the third episode of our ongoing video series, inspired by the Cancer + Wellness Program.
