Mary Free Bed provides some of the most comprehensive rehabilitation programs and services in the country. We provide rehabilitative care across the continuum of care, including:

- Outpatient rehabilitation
Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities
Resident inpatient experiences take place in our 167-bed freestanding rehabilitation hospital, one of the largest in the nation, with:
- Private rooms
- Specialized therapy gyms on each floor
- Activities of Daily Living (ADL) suite
- Specialized technologies, including:
- ZeroG
- LokomatPro
- Tollos ceiling-mounted ambulation systems
- Two aquatic therapy pools
- On-site Orthoptics & Prosthetics + Bionics workshop
- One of the largest Wheelchair & Adaptive Sports programs in the United States
Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinics
Many of our outpatient experiences take place at our main campus as well.
Residents spend time in our area outpatient clinics, including some with our community care partners including
- Corewell Health
- University of Michigan Health-West
- Trinity Health Grand Rapids.
Potential clinic locations are located in Rockford, Holland, Muskegon, and surrounding Grand Rapids area suburbs.
Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital
In 2022, Mary Free Bed has announced plans to build a freestanding pediatric hospital that will be connected to our main hospital. A $60 million partnership with Corewell Health Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, our new hospital will house 24 private inpatient rooms, assistive technology specially designed for children, outpatient treatment areas and clinic space, with more than 40 specialized pediatric rehabilitation programs. Construction is expected to be completed in 2026.
