2022 Advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation Considering Current Research

Throughout this two-day course participants will learn how to describe new concepts in motor learning within the VOR, understand when to refer patients for vestibular testing, apply advanced clinical skills to treat peripheral and central vestibular hypofunction, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, concussion, and vestibular migraine. This course will also allow participants to identify pathological eye movement implicating the oculomotor and vestibular systems, perform clinical skills to distinguish different causes for vertical ocular misalignment, utilize tests and measures for managing patients with vestibular disorders, describe new tests of vestibular function (torsion during head tilt, computer-controlled rotational head impulse test, etc.), describe emerging technologies that will impact vestibular rehabilitation as well as identify common reasons for delayed compensation and list common causes that can impair recovery from having a vestibular disorder.
