Description: Cardiac rehabilitation has been shown to be beneficial, but it remains underutilized. About 20% of cardiac surgery patients are re-hospitalized within 30 days, leading to increased morbidity and cost of care. Recent international research has demonstrated the benefits of postop inpatient cardiac rehabilitation.
