Raising Champions: A parent’s role in their child’s success
We love our kids. We love winning. And we really love it when our kids win. But sometimes our desire to help and protect them backfires, and we can do more harm than good. During this insightful and fun workshop, Mary Free Bed sport psychologist Dr. Eddie O’Connor will share what sport science says about raising resilient child-athletes.
Here’s what you’ll learn:
• Manage expectations, from playing time to not making the team
• Three biggest mistakes sport parents make and how to correct them
• What to say to your kids before and after competitions
• How to instill confidence and remove barriers to success
