Head and Neck Cancer Workshop

Head and neck cancer patients are likely to experience a variety of side effects and symptoms related to their cancer and complex treatments (e.g., surgical procedures, radiation and chemotherapy). This workshop will bring together nationally renowned, expert interprofessional faculty presenting evidence based, best clinical practices for the cancer rehabilitation team regarding the latest surgical procedures; radiation oncology treatments; side effects of treatment(s); and post-operative, rehabilitation management of head and neck cancer patients. Rehabilitation management will specifically address:
• Evaluation, treatment and management of dysphagia
• Nutrition
• Modes of communication
• Oral health complications
