This session stresses the importance of person-centered care in speech therapy practices and
the simple choices speech-language pathologists can make in their practice to provide highly meaningful,relevant therapy. A functional approach will be examined for various steps of the clinical process, including assessment, goal-setting, language and cognitive interventions, and home program design, with a focus on adult rehabilitation clients.
