Mary Free Bed CEO Kent Riddle earns health leadership award
Congratulations to Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital’s chief executive officer Kent Riddle!
Kent recently was honored by the Michigan Health & Hospital Association with a 2015 MHA Healthcare Leadership Award.
Kent was recognized by the MHA for his role in guiding Mary Free Bed after hospital leaders decided it should remain an independent, community-owned organization. In his tenure, Kent has led the creation of the Mary Free Bed Medical Group, Foundation and Network, as well as important research initiatives and numerous community partnerships.
Also crucial is Kent’s commitment to patient outcomes and employee engagement as the hospital continues to grow in a $66 million expansion and renovation project.
Kent credits the entire Mary Free Bed family for helping to shape the organization’s success and future.
“The award really reflects the talent and dedication of the entire Mary Free Bed staff and the Guild,” Kent says. “Together, we’ve been navigating significant changes in the increasingly rigorous healthcare environment. It’s an honor to be recognized by our peers for the accomplishments we’ve achieved together during the past several years.”
A sincere “thank you” to the MHA for recognizing Kent’s and Mary Free Bed’s contributions to the West Michigan community and beyond. Read more about the award via the Grand Rapids Press.
